Instead of a Basic Lapidary Class, new members will be taught at the Shop.  This way you will obtain a fundamental understanding of the materials, safety and machine operations that are used in the lapidary arts.  The focus will be to teach basic cutting, shaping and polishing skills and ensure members understand how to work safely.  The fee will be covered in the regular hourly shop cost ($10 per 3 hour session).  This instruction must be taken in order for you to work independently in the shop. You must be a member to take the course.
